COURSE RESERVES

The Aga Khan Library offers lecturers at IIS and AKU-ISMC the opportunity to reserve course-specific books from the AKL collections for the duration of one or more terms.

The books’ borrowing periods are shortened (one day, three days, or reference only) to ensure all students taking the course can access the materials for the term duration.

Course reading materials can include weekly readings as well as specific titles required for assignments and exams.

The books marked as Course Readings will be moved from the lending collection to the course reserves shelf by the entrance to the Library.

To request books as course readings, please complete the Course Reserves Form using the below button.

Ensure to include the following details for each book:

  • Course title
  • Tutor’s name
  • Cohort code
  • Term and year
  • Book title, author, and edition specifics

This information is essential for processing your request.

Course readings should be requested before circulating the reading list to students, allowing AKL staff time to prepare the materials for the course start.

To see the current course readings lists, access the Course Reserves tab in your internal Aga Khan Library Account.
